PRETTY LITTLE THINGS.

It has always been the wee things that make up a huge difference, that make up a great deal out of anything, that make up a grand turnover.

A frivolous discrepancy can cause a friend to never feel the same for his/her bestie. It can be something which you’d never expect to come up & it can actually cause hell out of things to change in ‘ya life. Ever thought about it?

Its dreadful what little things lead people to misunderstand each other. Sometimes, little things make a huge difference.

The small things of life are often so much bigger than the great things…the trivial pleasure like cooking for your beloved one, writing a special note as an apology, funny things seen & overheard.

There are many things that seem impossible only so long as one does not attempt them. A little “thankyou” that you will say to someone for a “little favour” shown to you is a key to unlock the doors that hide unseen “great favours”. Sometime the little opportunities that fly at us each day can have the biggest impact.

Everyday we have plenty of opportunities to get angry, stressed or offended. But what you’re doing when you indulge these negative emotions is giving something outside yourself power over your happiness. You can choose to not let little things upset you.

Perfect happiness is a beautiful sunset, the giggle of a grandchild, the first snowfall.

Its the little things that make happy moments, not the grand events.

Joy comes in sips, not gulps! ☺

EXCLUSIVE MEETS COMFORT.

We all have our own exclusive style and comfort zone when it comes to footwear, but there are some basic shoes that every girl must have in her closet. Some are big fans of flats and there are those who don’t step out without their high heels on. But having these styles will ensure that there is never an event or occasion where you don’t have the right look on your feet.

1. WEDGES– Wedges are perfect for summer. The entire bottom surface of the heel is supported which makes balance and walking easier for you. They can be worn with jeans or sundresses and add instant length to your legs with super comfort.

2. WHITE SNEAKERS-Having a pair of white sneakers in your closet has now become a big trend and we have realized that it has always been beneficial. You’ll pull these out of your closet when you’re doing a lot of walking but don’t want it to look like you’re wearing workout shoes. Get your pair and start flaunting different looks on every occasion with just one pair.

3. PARTY WEAR FLATS– Glitter and gold combinations are quite in fashion now. You can pair flats with A Line dresses, fancy shorts and crop tops also. They make so many combinations look good, so bling on, break the rules and hit the dance floor with glittery flats instead of heels. The beauty with these party flat is that they go very well with Indian outfits too.

4. FLIP FLOPS– Flip flops are the easiest to wear and carry. You can carry a pair to the beach without worrying though they may not be good for your feet but they are for sure very casual. You may wear them at home or outside at night when you just want to go out for some ice-cream.

5. BLACK STILETTOES– Every girl is a fan of stilettos and every girl wants to own at least one pair of black  heels because this color can give you a very lifted and tall look. Stilettos look good with body-con dresses and are usually 5-6 inch heels.

6. INDIAN FLATS– An obvious upgrade from your poolside flip flops, dressy Indian sandals are perfect for all the festive seasons. You can wear these super comfortable flats with a simple solid kurti and plazzos and it will straight away add glamour to your look.

7. BOOTS– Even if you don’t live in a cold, snowy place, it’s important for a girl to have a pair of boots in your closet. Find the pair that has a good grip on the bottom, and makes you look presentable enough. They should look very chic, with a pair of jeans or a short dress and also feel comfortable.

LETS REFRESH!

Today, life is full of stress & anxiety & especially in metropolitian cities, situation is the worst. Everybody is busy with their life, no time for family & himself even. Every person is running behind their hectic schedule. Life has become so fast that there’s no time to relax & release the stress.
Entertainment can add salt in this discomfort & distasteful life. It is the way of entertainment which keeps the life going, else the life would become very dull & boring. Entertainment gives life its chasm & energy.

Entertainment can be of any type depending on one’s choice & likes. A tired person after coming back from office, if got a 15 mins to watch his favourite show would help him relax his tiring mind. This small time period of entertainment can give a smile & a soothing effect to his mind.

Playing music also relaxes the mind & slows down the tension. It is the best way to abandon the day to day stress. When a  person sits down with his eyes closed to listen to his favourite music, his mind gets ease & heartbeat goes balanced. People interested in playing any kinf of music find pleasure in doing it.

Other than music, reading is one of the good sources of entertainment. It definitely reenergizes one’s mind. It not only helps to gain knowledge but also helps to have a better outlook of outside world.

Going out for picnic, chatting with family members or friends, dancing, singing etc can give pleasure to a tired & sick soul. These are some of the simple ways to lift up the mood. It can buzz the day & put life at ease.

In short some sort of entertainment must be there in life to remove the boredomeness of life & make it dynamic & exciting always. Both entertainment & education have been integral parts of human experience since the beginning of time.

Entertainment has become a neccessity for everybody due to increment of stress in people’s life. Therefore, distraction is a way to escape the everyday routine & consequently to enjoy the day.

It is about taking people away from regular order of things when there is some chaos & pain & stress.

Whoever is happy WILL MAKE OTHERS HAPPY TOO. 😊

**Since the GIFs are not getting played in Microsoft Word, im using WordPress in order to complete the task given by Prof. Rutu Ladage.**
14 things that foreigners deem about Indians which arent true:

1. India is poor– What would make them think that India is a poor country? Oh it would have unless it wouldnt have been on rank number 3 in the most number of billionaires.

2. All Indians are Hindu– Maybe they dont know that India has many castes & subcastes & religions in it. Maybe they havent heard about Sikhs, Muslims, Christians, etc.

3.  India is not multilingual– Okay people you havent really visited India & havent explored our places. Dont mind giving y’all a short demo of series of various languages. Up for it?

4.  India has no electricity– Yes there are many rural places in India which face this problem of electricity shortage but its absolutely false that India has no electricity.

5. Indians dont speak English– You guys are highly mistaken. The fact that we Indians dont speak English is hilariously untrue. English is our second language, sir!

6. Cricket is a version of baseball– Haha! Cricket is that game in India which gains crores of audiences in front of their TV sets. Even when its not the national game of our country, people in here love to watch cricket more than any other game. Yes thats true.

7. Indian food has only curry & is spicy– India has a lot many special dishes. Rather you’d get different & variety of special dishes when you visit different states. We have lot more than just curry & we are no less superb in things other than spicy.

8. India is always dirty, smelly crowded– There, right there you go wrong. India is a land of tourist destination. We have amazingly beautiful places which are clean & wonderful & yes its crowdy because we always have people who visit us.

9. India is technologically ignorant & underdeveloped– What do you really know about India then?

10. Culturally we are not modern– India has the richest culture & our traditional culture has a spice of pop culture everywhere in every state. So India being culturally old is just not true.

11. We arent fair– Oh yes, we arent fair like Americans but we have our own Indian shade which distinguishes us from the rest.

12. We eat only with our hands– We have pretty good eating etiquettes & yes eating with hands is our culture & we wont repudiate it. This dosent make us any less sophisticated or more ill mannered.

13. All South Indians are black– Maybe you should visit South India once & meet each & every person out there if thats what takes you to change your opinion. We arent racist to distinguish amongst the blacks & the whites. No whites are superior to the blacks in India.

14. We are just from IT & Engineering– No you are wrong. We have experts from various fields like Arts, Sports, Literature, Accounts etc. No doubt we excel in every field.

WAIT FOR THE NAME..

It was hard to leave my home that day. Its very true that no place is great for a long time other than your Home. But these thoughts didnt wander much in my mind as a very beautiful & most awaited vacation was on hold which didnt let me think of anything else but IT. When your family plans a vacation to the most pleasant & gorgeous place & the day is here… How does it feel? Many such questions have been answered below.

If you ask me what is the best time & how i’d love to spend every minute of it, then it’ll always & always be with the Nature. That elegant scenery having high high mountains, a small cascade typically one of several that falls in stages down a steep rocky slope & maybe a river side with few big stones & a plain road with no vehicles to breach the silence. Is it not coming in front of your eyes too? I can relive the scene just as i’d seen there. No fun at any fancy parties, clubs or pubs can ever be made to stand beside the perfect nature to compare its beauty or even spending/having an outstanding time. Can be called more like, heaven on earth.

You wont get everything you wish or everything you have back at your place, but maybe this is the beauty of this place & this is what distinguishes this magnificient piece of land from the rest.

Nothing is really easy there. Not easy to get there..not easy to roam there & honestly not easy to SURVIVE there. Get yourself a different bagpack altogether stuffed only with these really thick pullovers, a pair or two of tights & gloves each & whatever you can get from the winter shops. But maybe you’d still roll yourself over the blankets & not get out of the bed. Well, this is what happend to me atleast 😋

You wont find any Pizza Hut, Mc’D or Subway outlets there but you’d love to eat their very special dishes, food at dhabas & our very own Maggie.. People out there are real good chefs, better than you & me!

This place is gonna make you fall in love with it everytime you even swipe the photographs, everytime you picture yourself taking a bare walk on those clean roads of the grassy valleys…. Have you figured out the name of this lovely place yet? Well, you should never miss out a trip to one of the most pleasing land on earth, LEH- LADAKH!

Everyone must plan a visit to this place once in his/her lifetime.

● To know more about this place, stay tuned for the next blog post which will be speaking all about the places I visited & would nominate each & everyone to visit there. ●

FROM ORDINARY TO EXCEPTIONAL!

How many of us really know about Mumbai’s unpriviledged or non elite people? Okay, lets be a little precise here. What do we know about MUMBAI’S DABBAWALAS?
Well, a Dabbawala is a person in the city of Mumbai whose job is to carry & deliver freshly made food from home to the office of the customer. Basically, a Dabbawala is any person who carries the lunch box from the customer’s residence & delivers it to the customer’s work place. But Mumbai’s Dabbawalas are recognized by the quality of spirit that they carry with them, which makes them a class apart. The standards that they have indulged in their work culture & the determination to serve make them to raise their grit to any level that job demands. Each one of them individually & collectively as a group have performed their task with a single-minded focus.

In Mumbai, most of the population travel everyday for about 60-80 kms to reach their work place & since they tend to leave their residence early in the morning, it is hard for their family members to prepare lunch during such a time, even if they do prepare it is hard to carry it in local train since it is too crowded. So it makes sense for them to hire Dabbawalas to deliver the lunch boxes everyday.

The target customers are basically the middle-income groups, entreprenuers, etc. A survey conducted revealed that Dabbawalas have satisfied the customers with the service they provide.

You can easily identify them in a crowd like Mumbai, just by looking at the White Gandhi Topi which is mandatory during work hours. They are always in hurry, they are known for their reliability & work ethics.

The Dabbawalas show that, with the right system, an organization doesnt need extraordinary talent to achieve extraordinary performance. Even with less technological advancements & resources, the Dabbawalas have done a tremendous job & have parted themselves from ordinary to exceptional group.
